The Waters of Ulan

When the passenger ship Mariposa is torpedoed by an enemy submarine in 1941, passenger and lone survivor Jenny Carson is left alone in the vast ocean. She may have survived the sinking of the ship and ensuing massacre of the passengers and crew by the submariners, but now faces a lingering demise in the empty South Pacific. Yet before succumbing to the dark waters, she encounters a small desolate lifeboat. Jenny scrambles aboard and in mysteriously propelled by the empty boat to a jungle island that appears on no map but is undeniably real. On this island where both the plant and animal life seems totally alien and often deadly, she discovers a time worn decaying castle. Inside this fortress, she comes to understand the reason for her lucky escape from death in the ocean’s murky depths. Dalan Lucard, lord of a people called the lanthrobes, has selected Jenny to help him continue his race’s lineage by slowly exhausting her blood supply. In exchange for her cooperation, Lucard offers her a lifetime of physical and emotional ecstasy. Eternal euphoria and dream-like bliss beyond comprehension are guaranteed to be hers if she accepts.
